Bought a house with an old CDI 1012-B integrated dishwasher. I want to turn off the loud beep at end of cycle. All the manuals online and from Candy customer services are for the CDI 1012 model, there's nothing specifically for the B model. They say to hold down the single "programme select" button for 15+ seconds while turning it on, then it'll beep and show lights and you can toggle it off. When I try that with this model, all the lights stay lit, there's no beep, and nothing happens even if you hold it down for 30+ seconds. When you let go, all the lights go off and it seems to be unresponsive until you turn it off again. Every manual for similar models says to do the same thing, unless the model has more than one button. I've tried various combinations of clicking the button while turning it off, on, but I never get any beeps or flashing lights that suggest it's gone into a new mode. I'm stumped. If I can't find the exact manual, is there another model (maybe a Hoover one?) that would work the same way and would have a manual available?

Phone the manufacturers helpline and ask or take front panel off and cut wire to the beeper

Thanks, but like I said the manufacturers don't have any information on this model and just keep giving me manuals that don't work. Trying to avoid doing anything permanent to the machine when there must be a way to do it by configuration.
