Thank you for your reply, do you know if this is a big job or not, didn't know wether to buy a new one because it will cost £50 just to get someone to look at it!
Brush replacement is simple enough, and there's even a video on u tube about it
A fix not guaranteed though!
an you hear a motor whirring when it should - suggesting a snapped belt maybe - or is all quiet?

Have had the back off and the belt looks ok, I can drain the machine using that specific program but thats all there is a clicking noise but that's all.
Trouble is Linda, there are various sensors that need to have a signal before the motor will turn, including water pressure and temperature. The clicking is just the timer.
Its a fairly recent machine - its worth looking at the brushes if you can.
