cannon chesterfield fault

Hi.I would be grateful if anyone can help.I have a cannon chesterfield cooker,the time light works while the oven is cold,but when oven gets hot if "flashes"dimly,when oven cools down it is ok.Any ideas ?,I dont want to pay cannons high prices if this is a simple fix,or is it safe to ignore?
