I have a cannon chester cooker, every time you switch on the oven the igntion stays on even when the gas is alight., sometimes even when the oven has been alight for sometime. This does not afect the hot plate. have cleaned oven to see if this was problem no help. Have to switch of a mains to get this to clear. Any help

Can be several things, faulty electrode or lead not sending correct signal back to spark generator...
Faulty spark generator not accepting signal
poor flame just by electrode(too small)
Recent electrical work done and polarity reversed in socket.
