We have an old (50 yrs) boiler system in our house with baseboards throughout the first floor with the boiler in the basement. These are baseboard radiators not the real old typical looking cast iron ones.
A pipe was cut installing flooring and then repaired but now in half of the house the radiators are warm, the other half they are cold. We're assuming the system needs to be bled, but cannot find a bleeder valve anywhere. None on the radiators, and none to be found on the piping along the ceiling of the basement. Is there some different way they used to bleed these systems back then? What am I missing?
