I've a mains fed (instantaneous hot and direct cold) Mira 723 shower and to balance the pressure (cold was higher pressure) I fitted a pressure equalising valve http://www.plumbingsuppliesandfittings.co.uk/Water_pressure_equalising_valve--product--80.html and now I can't change the temperature of the shower.
Of course something could be wrong with the shower itself but it got me thinking whether you could adjust the temperature if you fitted such an equalising valve ?
I wonder whether by requesting a higher temperature, thus reducing the cold flow, this is balanced by a reduction in the hot flow, retaining equilibrium at this mean warm temperature. However, I am not seeing a reduction in flow so maybe that idea is a non starter.
And that brings me back to the shower unit itself and before I start pulling it apart, I'd welcome some advice. Thanks.
