After a fairly normal drive, I found myself unable to lock my Suzuki Swift III 2006 with the fob and key. The central locking system works fine, but the fob does not work and even when I put the key into the door to lock manually, it does not work.
I took the key apart, replaced the battery and still no response. I reprogrammed my key and still no response. I replaced the door lock fuse, just on a whim to see if I could troubleshoot and the problem still did not fix. I've taken the door panel off to try and locate any problems but didn't have the knowledge to identify the issue.
I've even taken the car to a Suzuki garage and they spent 40 minutes looking at it and didn't charge me because they couldn't work out what was wrong.
I can lock and unlock all doors using the buttons inside, it's just the key/fob that does not work. If I lock all doors inside, then shut the driver door, I will be locked out. Any insight?
