The key in my conservatory door snapped off whilst in the lock, I cannot lock the door now. How can i get the bit of key out that is in the lock????? Help????
Ann
Do you have a spare key? If so, use a screwdriver or flat object to move the side of the cylinder with the broken key to the vertical position - ie the jagged edge of the key would be pointing downwards. Then use the spare key in the other side of the cylinder to push the broken section out. You'll probably need a pair of pliers to pull the broken key out - once you can see it.
You lucky so n so. If it has damaged your lock barrel at all I know where you can find a replacement. I bought one online a few weeks back and was pleased because I fit it all myself and didn't need to pay a lockmith.
They look just like the ones in masona's photo and I bought them here
