I can't believe that the finale of Battle Star Galactica went down the "Hitchikers Guide" route...

finally found a habitable planet and it turned out to be earth with cavemen..
and they settled there and bred with the locals to crate us...

Thats the basis of the original series too, that they were looking for the original earth(ours) eventually finding it

yeah, but when they found it it was up to date..
I remember a bunch of colonial kids dismantling a tv camera..

the new series went the "landed on a cave man inhabited world" route, just like the hitchhikers guide did..
