I was going to build my own fence. 1.8m fence, 7 posts. 1.8m post centres. Overlapping 22mm x 150mm treated timber just nailed or screwed to the posts.Like this https://www.pinterest.co.uk/pin/532621093438390005/
I worked it out, 60 or so 22mm x 150mm planks will cost about £100 more than if I buy 6 off the shelf panels like this https://www.travisperkins.co.uk/fen...eated-superlap-fence-panel-pack-of-3/p/446498
I think my own may be more sturdy at 22mm. But then its more work, £100 more.
Just curious what others would do, use these off the shelf panels which look nice, or DIY, and what reasons.
My reasoning not to use the panels would be its thinner wood, may not be as sturdy, but then I could just slot them in an screw them to the posts, nice and easy.
Thanks!
