Hi,

I have an electric drill that you just put the bit in and tighten with your hand (ie no key).

The last time I used it I couldn't get the bit out afterwards. I've tried using a towel and asking someone else but it's jammed tight.

Any suggestions?

Simon

have tyou opened the chuck?

if so hit bit with a hammer, worked for me

spray a bit of wd40 into the chuck, leave it for a while and then give it a few little taps. then try again

check you havent got a locking ring[on the chuck] that slides to lock the chuck

If its a metal chuck, give it a hit with a mallet.

If its a plastic chuck, give the bit a knock, as close to the chuck as possible.

Then try undoing as normal.

Repeat again but hit it a bit harder if it doesnt work first time.
