cant light a baxi potterton bermuda back boiler

does anybody know if i can manually light the potterton bermuda backboiler with the matching firefront? the piezo ignition has packed up and i am just house sitting for a friend and have tried to wave a firelighter towards the back of the boiler but to no avail. can anybody help?

You can buy a new ignitor spark generator.

Its more likely to be connected with the HV cable or the spark electrode.

It needs someone CORGI registered for both fires and boilers to work on it as the firefront has to be removed first to get access.
