I'm trying to fix a leaking kitchen tap, it's a wall mounted 3 hole mixer (I think - It's got a hot and cold tap on either side of the spout, all mounted seperately to the wall)
I can't however remove the shroud - Been looking everywhere online, and can't find this type of tap anywhere. I have removed the cap, taken out the screw, removed the handle.
The shroud spins freely in either direction (no amount of spinning makes it come off though) and when you pull on it, it's spring loaded (ie: forcing itself onto the wall)
Looking inside the tap, there appears to be a white plastic nut of some kind, it has 4 raised lumps (a couple are already broken off though) and goes all the way around the tap. I'm assuming I have to remove this so that I can remove the shroud, so that I can undo the nut holding the valve in, but I can't seem to move it in either direction, and I don't want to force it in case I break it.
Any ideas?
Many thanks.
