Cap my gas hob

Hi all,

I live in a modern house that is 4 years old. I am replacing my gas hob with an induction hob. Can I just turn the idolater valve off and hob done or should I get this capped off.

can I do this myself.

Yes, get it capped off by a gas safe registered person.
