Has anyone any ideas why the microwave part of my combination oven has suddenly stopped working. I have contacted caple as it is only 2 years old but I have to pay £85 call out fee to see what is wrong, I was worried in case it was something simple. The convection oven and grill are both ok.

haven't got a clue really
but we need to know things like does it make a sound
do the relevant controls light up
is set on a low power level [say 10%] giving the impression its not working
is there a timer that will effect the micro
have you tried resetting by use off a button or unplugging for 20 mins or so

probably cheaper to buy a new microwave as it will be £85+parts+time and probably plus vat
unless you have a local white goods repair shop [domestic repairs] you can take it to who may charge around £30 to look
