I'm looking to cap over my existing pvc fascias as they're looking tired and are the old rounded moulding. I am changing the colour to match other parts of the house.

They are in good nick and so I was hoping to cap straight over the existing pvc. There's no soffit and the boards sit straight on to render.

I've fitted plenty of fascia previously but have never capped over existing pvc. Is there any reasons not to do this as like I said, the existing is sound and solid.

Cheers J

Just make sure you still have enough oversail on the roof covering into the gutter if overcladding. You can fit eave trays if in doubt.
