I am about to buy a Ford Mondeo with 18000 only on it (its genuine mileage owned by a disabled person). Its a 2006 Estate.
Is it worth it to buy a warranty which would cost me £312 for a year. I have never bought one before but would appreciate experience/advice.

Thats the million dollar question Jim - personally I don't bother as most of the wearing things aren't covered anyway (clutch, brakes battery etc). However, I would look at its service history and what sort of repairs it has had during its life - if its been looked after by Ford then records will be kept. The Mondeo is an excellent car and there are loads about - together with a dealer on each street corner. Again, being a Motability car (probably) the owner will have been encouraged to keep it perfect. Just my opinion though! If the car appears perfect in every area I'd go ahead and buy it. Cheers John :)

most if not all require you to have your car serviced regualary at a reputable garage,so if your a dab hand with spanners your stuffed.

Many thanks. As the Ford Dealer threw a warranty in at a reduced price I decided to take it. Only time will tell whether it was worth it. Many thanks for your helpful comments.
