Caravan Outside Socket

I’m an electrician, and I’ve got to fit a outside socket from a static caravan.
What type of Earth does the electrical supply to the static caravan have ? Is it a PME ( TN-C-S ) supply ?

Would fitting this new socket result in a PME supply Earth being exported from the caravan to appliances outide the caravan ?

TNC-S… Yes the socket will be used for a dryer I believe. The socket will be on its own circuit from the DB

Irrelevent.

The Earth from the TN-C-S is in reality the incoming Neutral ( PEN Protective Earth Neutral ) which in the event of a fault in the supply ( open circuit PEN ) results in the possibility of the "Earth" in the caravan being pulled to 230 V. Exposed metal work on items that are Earthed will become Live. Not a serious danger for anyone inside the caravan ( equipotential zone ) but could be lethal for anyone standing on the ground outside the caravan and touching exposed metal of an Earthed appliance.

This is where I could get more education good sir. I understand the logic and theory of an open PEN fault. So you think I need a separate TT supply for the outside socket?

Also, with the open PEN fault scenario, does it not mean that the caravan itself should have a TT means of earthing?

If the ground around the dryer can be damp ( or otherwise conductive ) then I would have TT from the caravan to the outside socket through a RCD and the Earth from an effective Ground electrode.

And yes my opinion is caravans should have TT supplies with effective Ground electrodes. ( based on experience of the sometimes dubious supply cabling on caravan parks )

If this is indeed a leisure/holiday static, hope that the caravan owner has permission from the site manager for all this - otherwise next job will be a return to remove it.

Well I think that might be a starter for ten certainly.
I think consideration should be given to the TNC-S. TT, PME, PNB, scenario if the Caravan is on a caravan site/is metallic in structure/is in an open field were folk might be barefoot/ touching other earthy stuff/ Broken PEN (as you mentioned).
I would not like to make additions/alterations before knowing these things.
