I've got a touring caravan and it is virtually impossible to get the shower to the right temperature. It is one of the controls that sets flow rate and temperature and a tiny touch alters the temperature.
The amount of hot water stored is limited so I tend to set it at the highest temperature.
I'd like to fit a TMV (thermostatic mixer valve) in the pipework before the shower so it is always at the temperature that suits us.
As it is a caravan the water supply is via 12 volt pump so the pressure is limited.
Can anyone recommend a suitable TMV, preferably 15mm, that will work on a low pressure system.
Thanks
John

I tried unsuccessfully to find something similar some years ago. However, technology may likely have moved on since then, but at the time, separate hot and cold water taps were used for mixing the shower. Each tap had a microswitch to start the cold pump, and hot pump as applicable.

The problem with any kind of touring van automatic mixing valve would be that it would also have to control the switching of both pumps both automatically and individually, and this technology just did not exist at the time.

Thanks Stem. The pump works on a single pressure switch. Open any tap and the pressure drops and switches on the pump.
