Bit of electric glue required on the chassis (going to be a pain cos galvanised). Is it same as a car, just disconnect the battery or should igo further (there's a Zig type distro inthere as well as 3 way fridge etc). Ta

Isn't galvanised dangerous to weld?
I.e. A decent mask?
The fumes aren't nice and the zinc contaminates the weld. Fortunately its a flat bit so grinding off the zinc for an inch each side of the crack is doable.Or I might just drill the crack tips and leave the welding- the cracks look quite old. Suspect they're fatigue cracks, they're at the mounts for a crossbrace & there's loads of flex in the chassis. Pics to follow for your entertainment

Hmm. Not so sure about the oldness now
