Hi folks,
We want to install wood flooring throughout a new house we are buying. We've heard too many warnings against solid wood and have decided now to get semi-solid boards.
I prefer the look of an oil finish and like that it can be refinished in smaller areas. However, the maintenance aspect of things is a problem for the wife. Would we really have to empty everything out of each room to re-oil it every 6 months to a year? This sounds like a mammoth job - especially considering that we would like to install it in every room (except kitchen and bathrooms).
Anyone any thoughts? Would we really need to clear out each room every year?
