I've noticed a sharp increase in them this year, presumably the credit crunch has forced parents to put their kids to work.

Does anyone actually enjoy having "Jingle Bells" sung to them by a group of children?

Frankly, I find it disturbing.

Glad I fit that CCTV door camera now, must save up for the 50cal Pillbox though

Well it's better than having them lob a rock through your window, isin't it and probably a lot less disturbing I would think.

Do carol singers automatically "lob a rock" through your window if you don't let them sing?

A group of children might not be carol singers but a bunch of hoodies loitering outside your home in a menacing way!
Do you.......
A- Go outside and tell them to sod off
B- Give them a hymn sheet and ask them to sing Christmas carols?
Either option could get you the rock lobbed through your window IMO.
And NO carol singers do not automatically lob rocks through your window if you don't let them sing.
What is it that you find disturbing about children singing Christmas carols during the festive season?

We've found the illuminated Bah humbug in the front room window has kept most of them at bay this year.

Lol, I suppose I am being a premature grumpy old man.

To be honest, "disturbing" was a bit strong, but you haven't seen some of the kids round here!

Perhaps "embarrassing" would have been more appropriate.

we didnt get one carol singer here this year....

i do wonder if its anything to do with the 5 killed "accidently" last year.

Had one carol singer the other night, a tap on the door, my 16 yr old run down the stairs, half in makeup, expecting her freind, a lad about 13 started singing, ." I wish you a merry xmas, etc" my daughter started laughing , saying, "W hat do you want" she never had a clue what it was all about

got a job yet or are you still committing benefit fraud?

Hi dm, bit of both really, but the thing is, the credit crunch cannot affect me.

I think we should have an educational on here for that, as a lot of people need advice sometimes, like the elderly that miss out cos they (the powers that bed on't tell them)
