Apparently the CPS recommended a caution but the Met appealed against that and charged her with Assault by beating which ultimately pushed her over the edge and she committed suicide.
Now, the Met find they have no records of why she was charged with assault. Disgraceful. Still, it’s not all bad - the officer concerned who pushed for the assault charge is to receive 'reflective practice'.
This thread, now closed https://www.diynot.com/diy/threads/caroline-flack.539105/ discussed it at the time. Perhaps a few that posted in that thread should also consider some reflective practice now after it has now been proven that a caution was rejected and a prosecution sought? As originally said - easy target/high profile case.
