Basic carpet laying question...

Can you use a threshold like this:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=290731890119

with a carpet to carpet join by having gripper down each side, our is there a danger that
a) carpet would not "bite" when stuffed in the gap between gripper and threshold
b) gripper spikes may poke through carpet (carpet is reasonable quality twist) and catch feet/toes etc

Thanks

its your house you can do anything you want.........

if you are asking is it OK - then NO
if you are asking will it work then NO
if you are asking can I get a wooden strip to do this then YES but you wont like how much it costs

....sorry!

It's 15 or 20mm thick so yes you could use it to make a threshold. It's a similar thickness to the thresholds that are in a few properties.

15 - 20mm thick?
Yup, will work no problem for carpet to carpet.
Affix to floor and gripper both edges, fit carpet
Bobs yer uncle

unless your carpet is like a 40mm saxony lol
