I've been given a reproduction cast iron radiator that has not been used. It has four large holes at each corner, about 4 cm, and i can't find the caps to put in there that hold the valves. can anybody help please?
The openings you describe should be threaded, these will probably be BSP threads (British Standard Pipe), they will be either 1-1/2" or 1-1/4" diameter, you will need to make up fittings to accept the two radiator valves 1/2" BSP, one of the top connections will need to incorporate a vent plug, and the final one will need to be a blank. I would suggest visiting a good merchant such as plumbase, plumbcenter or ideally Pipecenter they should have in stock all you need to get you up and running!!
