Hi

We are doing up our property and want to remove the caste iron bath, however it measures about 166cm end to end and is a very tight fit. I cannot find an acrylic bath anywhere which measures 166cm, the nearest is 170cm.

Is their any way around this? How much space could i create by chipping into the plaster on one wall at the end? Would it be possible to trim about 2cm of the end of the bath without undermining its strength?

many thanks

Acrylic baths cut very easily with a wood saw. 40mm should miss the back slope of the bath

Don't be daft. You can get slightly smaller baths and the plaster can take up the rest.

Shop around.
