Hello
first of all these are my plans:

www.ahmetaksari.com/section.pdf
My wife and I would love to have a cathedral ceiling. (No trusses, just vertical support beams)
Check out these web images for reference of what we would like.
The ridge beam span would be 13 meters but having 2 vertical support beams. Basically the beam would be supported every 4 and half meters, as indicated in our plan.

Could I get any advice on what size ridge beam I would need?
I have access to pine, siberian pine and lebanese cedar (that's what they made the temple of Solomon with!)
I am in Turkey and no one here has ever heard of such a roof.
If I can't get clear advice, I plan to use metal frame roof to achieve this.
But having a wood frame would make the wife happy!
------------------------
It does snow around here and I have the option of putting cedar shingles or spanish ceramic tiles.
