I have varnished skirting boards, like a mahogany colour. It now needs caulk to be be applied. Problem is I am struggling to find a colour which matches it. I could use a white caulk but I don’t think painting or varnishing it will lead to it matching the skirting. I have found mahogany sealant which I am assuming is different than caulk and harder to tool? Or should I just go with the sealant? Thanks.

Unika sell a range for "wood coloured" caulks.

Other ranges sell similar products.

They are the same as other caulks with regards to tooling.

Do not use mahogany silicone. It will repel paints. Some firms such as CT1 sell dark brown sealants. They are MS polymers- nearly as flexible as silicone but can be over painted with waterbased paints. They are a tad more difficult to tool though (they are very sticky).
