UK Finance said individual digital pound holdings should be capped at £5,000 in order to prevent panic and bank runs.

I can see the upside of digital currency, but I get a little nagging feeling it will allow too much information to be shared.

Also will we need it to allow us to buy certain things. Or is this the future and we all need to embrace it.

I’ve just taken my dog for a good walk, made a cup of tea and it’s gone.

I’m just wondering what the positives are of having say a 5k limit. Why a limit, and what can we use the money. Or can’t use the money for.

No tin foil hats needed. 90% of my income is a bank transfer now. So cash isn’t really a big thing.
