Hi
I’ve got an 8 channel Annke DVR with 6 analogue dome cameras, all has been ok however one of them stopped displaying an image some time ago, tried Bnc cable in another port but still the same so assume it is the camera that is faulty. I’m looking at replacing the camera but noticed an issue when I connected the power connector from the 8 way splitter to the power cable that runs to the camera, all the other cameras playback has flickering like a pulsing, can’t say I recall that being the case when the camera was working and it has been unplugged for over 6 months so not sure if it did-I only plugged it in today to see if it was still faulty, as I’ve got 5 other cameras it means there are 3 free power connectors on the 8 way splitter- I’ve tried all three on the bad camera and every time it causes all the others to flicker. If it isn’t a bad camera could it be that the bnc cable outside runs along a 4 core cable that feeds a security light? Have read that coaxial and AC
Cables should be kept at a distance-I’m not sure if it is this though as firstly I can’t recall it being a problem to begin with and secondly another camera has its cable running along side the ac cable as well and that is ok. The only difference is the cable on the bad camera is a premade bnc/power cable I got off Amazon where as all the other cables were made up during the install by the installer-this was because I had 5 cameras fitted and then I added one myself sometime later.
