CCTV for Texecom Elite

Hello!
I have just installed a Texecom Elite 64W along with the Texecom Connect and am looking for outdoor (and indoor) IP cameras which can be integrated with the system. I know that any IP Camera must work with the system, although I want to avoid these Chinese cameras which have a backdoor.

I would use HIK Vision.

as for back doors and security, things are always changing and hackers change tactics all the time.

I cant be certain that any equipment ever made cant be hacked, although many systems aren't hacked they are exposed due to not doing basics like changunf passwords from defaults etc

Another vote for Hikvision. They do 'phone home', but nothing like the cheap ones on ebay.

If it really concerns you, you can block their MAC code or local IP address from outward calls in your router, if it has the necessary option. I've done that.

Of course if you are worried about security you must have local storage and not rely on a cloud service.
