Hi
Recording sound on a 8 channel recorder with 4 sound inputs. Is it possible to use the same mike input to record sound to more than one camera at the same time by splitting the audio. If so what is the best way to do it.
I have 6 cameras, one mike on front of the house and one on the rear, I want to record sound to 2 cameras on the front and 2 on the rear.
All signals are sent via cat 5e to recorder.

All help appreciated.

Don't forget to put signs up if required. Audio recording used to be a big No No, whether it still is or not, I don't know anymore, I'm out of touch.
I'm sure someone will enlighten us though.

Just because it is sold, does not mean that it is legal to do/use.

last I heard a no no unless it was inside your premises only.

My argument is if you can be overheard in the street, then its not private audio.
but the law doesn't see it that way, if in doubt ask the ICO or whatever its called this week and pray for a straight answer.
