I've got a dimple ceiling in the upstairs hall. I've noticed the ceiling is cracked and looking for a repair. What's the easiest way?

Trying to avoid having to repaint all of the ceiling in the hallway as its at the top of the stairs.

Is there any type of plaster that will dry white, or will I have to repaint white and hope it matches the rest of the ceiling.

Picture attached.

It depends how big and deep the crack is, and how dirty the ceiling is, as to whether it will be noticeable.
Small cracks can be filled with a lightweight filler, using your finger to work it in and then wiping away any excess as you go with a damp sponge. The same can be done with caulk but that will tend to be more visible.

EDIT: Just saw the pic and that can be done easily with either of the above. You could even dab caulk with your fingertip here and there on the repair to make the odd stipple, if required.
