I have bought myself a Ceiling Fan with Light from Homebase and cannot make any sense of the wiring diagram
Here it the wiring diagram for my new Homebase Fan:

I have this wiring in place before I start anything:

I can't make head nor tail of what homebase are asking me to do in their diagram.

Any ideas?

bertram_wooster, do you actually have a ceiling rose? if so,

connect the 3 reds to the "loop"
connect the black from the switch to the 2 "switched live" terms
connect the other blacks to the neutral terminal
connect the earths to the earth terminal . . of course.

OR you could copy RF's diagram, by putting the ceiling rose in the loft run 3 core flex down to the light.

The purpose of the 2 switched lives is to provide you with a method of seperate switching on the wall if you so wish otherwise as RF has shown, link across from the same feed.

Just noticed, on the loop in diagram posted by bertram_wooster, the black switch wire doesn't have and red sleeving or tape on it, which it must have.
