With this type of fitting it wont make a difference as you can fit the bulb any way but it's still nice to have the live identified if possible.Thanks to you both for your replies.

I was just going to say that.......Personally I would use 2 pieces of green/yellow sleeving. One for each earth wire, then you can see and pull test both to ensure they are connected.

When I made the same suggestion a short while back it turned into one of our tomes and multiple reasons I was wrong.I doesn't really matter which Black goes where
unless the bulb is a screw in type which they aren't usually on a pendant.
