Ceiling lights won't come on

Hi guys

The other night i turned my 6 x 20w halogen GU10 lights on and pop one of them blows, tripping the fuse. So i turn the breaker back on and the lights wont come on.

Any ideas what the problem could be? not the fuse as the other rooms on the same fuse work.

Hi, yes the light switch is a dimmer.

Then the dimmer has probably popped with the light.
They do tend to become nice expensive fuses.

You can check it out by swopping the dimmer for a standard switch.
