HELP! I was opening a bottle of red wine and there was a mess, with resulting wine spray on my popcorn ceiling. How can I get this stain out??-

I know your post was from 2004 but if anyone has any information to help us out, I know I would appreciate it because it just happened to me. Our Hoodini wine opener has been pushing the cork into the bottle lately and last week with such a force that wine sprayed on my 9 and 10' ceilings. They aren't painted and we tried blotting it off but it only took off the drywall. Can we use drywall mud to touch it up or does it have to be painted.
