Hi Folks,
Hoping someone can give me some pointers.
I have just removed an old lath and plaster wall and coombed ceiling in an upstairs bedroom, revealing a small, triangular attic-like void behind.
It was my hope/intention to replace the lath and plaster (lovely stuff...!) with MDF ceiling cladding, like Parador or similar, fixing directly onto the joists/uprights.
There was no insulation in the void, so I am going to fill in the visible floor joist spaces, and hopefully fix insulation behind the cladding as I go.
There is some pipework in the void which is fairly well insulated.
The roof appears sound, with sarking boards, felt and slates.
This room is directly above a ground floor bedroom.
Anything else I should be considering...???
Dougie.
