Celect Thermsave DRF2 wireless thermostat

I have just purchased a Celect Thermsave DRF2 wireless thermostat,

I wired it up just to try it out before wiring it into the central heating system, it will work OK switching on and off fine with the unit beside each other.

When i move the control unit to the final position in the lounge nothing happens. Have tried various Dip switch combinations all to no avail.

Any assistance would be most helpful.

Bin it, and by a good quality wireless stat.

Failing this, have you checked the batteries are good? Is there anything metal between the stat in lounge and the receiver? What is the maximum distance betwwen the stat and receiver that will make it work?
