We are possibly looking to put an offer on a house with a "converted" cellar , we know it has been tanked has ventilation a sump pump with back-up and alarm , currently being used as a bar /games room but it has no window in the cellar .
The current owner had no issues with getting a mortgage with the cellar as it is
The current owner has all the relevant building certificates from the last owner who converted the cellar in 2007
Would we need to put a window in to make this a habitable room
