hello, I'm currently just looking for some advise. We are currently considering converting our large cellar into a liveable space. I have been told the cellar has been known to flood to about 3ft depth. My question is will pumps and and tanking be able to cope with this volume of water or is it all a non starter? Any advice please.

If there has been a history of 3ft high water then you need a really good membrane system Iike RIW applied meticulously on the floor and walls with a masonry wall and concrete slab to physically hold it in position. Any other less robust method like a water repellent render or one of the dimpled membrane systems will fail. A render will simply blow off and a dimpled membrane is not designed for flood waters.
