Hi,

My cellar has flooded to about 10cm high.

I need to pump it up about 2m and then about 4 m accross to get it out of the house.

Can anyone reccommend anything.

The only pumps i can find only start to work at 10cm and only pump for 2m.

the pump in the link is what we call a puddle pump.

we hire them from our local and they are effin brill.

we use 'em for clearing foundations and boy have they got some power.

no priming needed, just drop em in and away it goes. you can visibly see the level dropping. it is wise to have a low point or sump in which to catch every drop.

gaz0001, pump you want is called a sump pump. loads of plasces sell them.

To get the best though, you would do better off building a sump for it to sit in (so it is lower than the floor level)

a very good idea is to dig a sump and put a plastic box in it, the box you drill with holes first. this lets water in but not soil, if you let soil in the pump will pump it away, but the hole will get bigger and bigger and ............(yes it may take some time but you dont want it to erode everything)

another thing is a sump pump with float switch.

you plump it to waste and leave it on 24 / 7 it does nothing untill the water level rises and th float switch tells it to start or stop

what was the

If you only plan to use it once, hire one from hss or someone.
If it's something you want to leave set up in the cellar have a look at these

The S1 or S2 would probably suit you
