I've read several posts about this topic which have been helpful.
I have a 1912 house with a suspended timber floor which gets so cold you feel the draught from it even though its carpetted.
From the posts I've read so far, I'm thinking of using Celotex 100mm cavity insulation as a relatively complete solution (i.e. impermeable foil membrane) Fixing it to the underside of the floorboard with lath battens of some kind. The ventilation under the floor is excellent as we've not covered the air bricks nor do we suffer from rising damp.
Is this as far as I need to go with this as a solution ?
One other question, what's the best product to seal the gap between floorboards and the skirting board ?
Any help and suggestions much appreciated.
Thanks
