How can I remove cement dust that has caused my patio blocks to discolour. I believe there is some kind of acid you can use.

you can buy patio or brick cleaner at most diy sheds and should be adequate, although it will only attack a thin layer of cement before neutralizing, so if you have any thick snots of mortar remove them first. only downside is it may "etch" the surface of your blocks a little if they are cement based.
