cement sidewalk

i have a nice long crack in my back door sidewalk, i thought of incorporating it into a cobblestone effect or something. I'm just not sure how to do it, can anyone help or give me some other ideas. the crack is the whole width of the sidewalk.

I guess you do not have expansion joint. Only neat solution is to use angle grinder to cut narrow channel. Seal channel with say silicon rubber to move with expansion. Chipout remaing crack. Bond old cocrete before adding mortar mix with matching colour.
