Three questions please about Cementone SBR 365537 (from B&Q). I googled it and it came back as Styrene Butadiene Copolymer latex.
1. Can it be used successfully to waterproof heavy canvas?
2. If yes will it then accept gloss paint?
3. Will it and/or the paint always remain tacky?
I realise it’s primary use is in cement and mortar screeds but I have 3 litres left over from another job and I need to waterproof a couple of square yards of canvas.
I know there are some experts out there and I would appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

It may work. When ever i spill any and let it dry its pretty impossible to shift other than mechanically.

It would dry i think but no idea about paint taking to it.

Probably better to test a bit first.

Thank you for the reply r896neo. Does that mean that the Cementone goes stiff? I was hoping that the canvas once treated would remain flexible. As you say, I'll have try a small area and see what happens.
