Hi all,

I’ve just purchased my new home and all the heating system is in 15mm no 22mm. The heating works with no problems and boiler is 5 years old. 9 rads in total.

Should I look into changing some of the 15mm to 22mm or don’t fix something if it isn’t broken?
What can I expect to happen if I don’t change the pipe? The pump in the boiler to go?

Thanks

Thousands of heating systems run on 15mm copper with no issues at all for years.

What makes you think you need 22mm

Absolutely nothing wrong with smaller systems like yours being in all 15mm. In fact, it can be advantageous as it induces a higher water velocity reduces the chances of dirt blocking your paperwork

What makes you think you have no 22mm does it come off the boiler in 15mm.
