Hoping someone can point me in the right direction. I have gas central heating opperated through a back boiler system which is connected to my gas fire.
Yesterday am when the heating came on at 5, it woke me up sounding as though water was running through the boiler pipes in the chimney breast behind my head. I have checked everywhere and there is no water leaking anywhere (that i can see anyway). This lasts for about 10 minutes and then the system goes silent. The radiators are all heating up.
The same happened this morning although this time the radiator in my bed room was only warm 75% of the way up and cold at top.
There is a water tank in my spare room and when the heating first turns on you can hear running water around that area to (this is the opposite side of the house to where the boiler is in the chimney breast). It only lasts 10 minutes and then silence and there is no obvious leaks anywhere.
Was planning to bleed the radiators this evening and see if that makes any difference - or should i just call someone in?
Any help would be appreciated.
