I have come across a system that I have not seen before. The outlet from the pump via Y plan valve is in 22 mm. This then increases to 28 mm into a pipe with 12 small tappings of 10mm. The 28 mm pipe then reduces back to 22 mm and goes to the boiler return. The 10 mm tappings are the microbore flow and returns to the radiators. There are 4 tappings in a row on opposite sides of the 28mm pipe and 4 tappings in a row on the bottom.
I think this is some sort of manifold and assume that maybe internally the flow and return are concentric tubes.
Has anyone seen this system before and could they explain how it works please.
