Central Heating, Potterton boiler and problems

Hello,

I am a a bit of a novice with regards to plumbing etc, but i appear to be having a few problems with my Potterton boiler.

1) The central heating only seems to work when the hot water is on.
2) The gas keeps turning off, firing up again for 10 mins then turning off again
3) I have no thermostat control for the heating

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Auntsally, could you describe your system in more detail. Controls etc, and Potterton make and have made tens of dozens of different boilers. We can only guess at your model, and my crystal ball is in for service.
